A mass attached to a spring is pulled towards the floor then let go. Its height is recorded and
can be modeled by the function: h(t) = -10 cos (4t). How long does it take for the mass
to reach its maximum height in the first cycle?

Respuesta :

r3t40

First find the derivative,

[tex]\dfrac{d}{dt}\Big(-10\cos(4t)\Big)=40\sin(4t)[/tex].

Then find the critical point,

[tex]40\sin(4t)=0\implies t=40\mathrm{s}[/tex].

Hope this helps.

I am a little rusty here :(.
