The trees are cut down by them selves

I think that when the axe is destroying the trees there is a butterfly. As I am looking at the axe being broken it meant to me that after all the trees would die so would the axe. The axe took life so maybe the axes life is next. A butterfly would only live for some time. So after the butterfly may have pushed the axe for it's doom. It's like an artwork of death after death.
