We see that both of these books show a person or people being told that they can't do it, that they are nothing and will never be nothing. These characters are told that they can't do certain things which puts them down and possibly chips some pieces off their self esteem, but just as we see in "the right words at the right time" there will always be someone to tell yo to ignore those comments because they know that you can. You can do anything as long as you try and most importantly ignore those comments that are thrown towards you telling you the opposite. In "building Bridges" we see that it "is a call to action for Maryland's industry, education, and government to expand existing educational assets, create new assets, and simplify pathways to careers." Same thing happens. There are many people who will not want this to happen and will create obstacles to get someone away from something they are trying to accomplish. Both storylines show how no matter what obstacles come towards you there will always be a way to overcome them.
