A recipe calls for 2 2/4 cups of raisins, but Julie only has a 1/4 cup measuring cup. How many 1/4 cups does Julie need to measure out 2 2/4 cups of raisins?

to get to cups of raisins you need 8 1/4 cups, and then to get 2/4 you need 2.

So basically you need 10 1/4 cups
10 cups because 1 is split into 4 parts and 4+4=8and 2/4is two times of 1/4 and 2+8=10
