Will there really be a "Morning?"
Is there such thing at "Day?"
Could i see it from the mountains
If i we as tall as they?

Has it feet like Water Lilies?
Has it feathers like a Bird?
Is it brought from famous countries
Of which i have never heard?

Oh some Scholar! Oh some Sailor
Oh some Wise Man from the skies
Please tell a little Pilgrim
Where the place called "Morning" lies! Will there really be a "morning?"

This poem (Will there really be a "Morning"?) by Emily Dickinson makes use of rhetorical questions, questions aimed to the reader's reflection which do not require an  actual answer. These questions are used here to represent how a child mind works and how he imagines places like "morning" and  "day" if they were indeed real.
