Problem: A study population includes 100 men and 150 women. The study sample includes 25 men and 75 women.

Are the results of the study likely to be reasonable? Why or why not?



Answer: yes, because there are 50 more women in the population and the sample.



1) What mistake did I make?

2) What suggestion would you give me to avoid making that same mistake in the future?

Practice proportionality. A 50 difference between 100 and 150 is less relevant than 50 in 25 and 75. Its like you have 1 billion dollars and i give you 10 dollars. Its worthless right? What if you have 20 dollars and i give you again 10 dollars, its half of what you have. See the difference? Same number but different value.
