∴ Their relative speed difference is ( 1.183 - 1 ) = 0.183 miles.

Given the car enters the highway 8 minutes later on that time the truck will cover the distance of (1×8) = 8 miles.

so, the time needed for the car to pass the truck is (8/0.183) minutes which is = 43.7 minutes or 44 minutes.
