This image shows one Northern soldier dressed as Uncle Sam chasing away five Confederate soldiers who drop their weapons and other goods in panic and fear. This was published in a Northern newspaper early in the Civil War before much fighting had taken place.
How accurate was the cartoon in predicting the progress in the war?

Pretty accurate because the North (Union) won the Civil War . Mainly due to the fact that the South (Confederacy) lacked soldiers & supplies to fight anymore battles.
At least post the image when you copy and paste from your quiz like that.

But to answer your question, the image that you described is inaccurate.
Early in the war, general Robert E. Lee beat the Union in many engagements, and confederate forces took over much territory. It was the union being pushed back at the time.
