Rate of change of [1,3] is [tex] \frac{15.882-11.38}{3-1} = \frac{4.502}{2} =22.51[/tex]
Rate of change of [-4, -2] is [tex] \frac{.0971-.0018}{-3--4} = \frac{.0953}{1}=.0953 [/tex]
The difference between them is 22.51-.0953=22.4147
Hope that helps
