Grace and Ellie are in different Geometry classes. There are only two Geometry classes at their high school. Two students are being picked to attend a special math competition, one student from each class. If there are 20 students in one class and 26 students in the other, find the probability that both Grace and Ellie will be picked to attend the competition.

One class has 20 students, the other has 26 students so in total there are 46 students and  two of these are going to be picked. Therefore 2/46 of these kids are going to be picked which is the answer considering both students are in different classes.

Final answer: 2/46 or 4.3% of the time.
