According to the Pythagoras's theorem, The sum of the square of the hypotenuse is equal to the sum of the square of the other two sides.

x^2 + x^2 = (29)^2 = 29 x 29 = 281
   
2x^2 = 841 x^2 = 841/2 = 420.5
   
x = sqrt(420.5) = 20.51 inches
