The theory suggests that the universe began with all the matter in the world was concentrated into one incredibly small point, then in a hot explosion, it expanded, creating the universe. The theory also suggests that since it happened, the universe is still expanding to this day.

The big bang theory states that the universe started with a big bang. There was an explosion of some type of star and a lot of dust and gas was dispersed. These tiny pieces of matter formed together and this is what created the sun. The other particles formed the planets and that is how Earth was eventually formed.
