i think the first is y= 2x+ 4
as when u substitute (2,2) into y=mx+ c, c ends up as 0 so at this point y= 2x but as it is parallel y=x+4 they need to intercept at the same point.

1. The slope of
.. y = x +4
is the coefficient of x, which is 1. That is the slope of your parallel line.

Then in point-slope form, the line you want is
.. y = m(x -h) +k . . . . . . you have m=1, (h, k) = (2,2)
.. y = 1(x -2) +2
.. y = x . . . . . . . . . . . . . . the equation you are looking for

2. Since the line is
.. x = constant
you only need to choose the constant as the x-value of the given point. Your line is
.. x = 4.
